TIOGA BUSINESS RESOURCE ALLIANCE

Connection to key resources maximizes opportunities for new and established businesses.

Monthly Alliance meetings are held to connect those who work to assist Tioga County current and future businesses. Participants include: Develop Tioga, Mansfield Chamber of Commerce, Northern Tier Regional Planning And Development Commission, PA Career Link, Representative Owlett's staff, Senator Dush's staff, Small Business Development Center of the University of Scranton, Wellsboro Chamber of Commerce, and Visit Potter-Tioga.

  • Affordable Health Care Options

  • Assessment/Review of Business and Employer Needs

  • Mentors for Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders

  • Promotion of Business Opportunities

Identification and promotion of available buildings and properties, and connections to essential infrastructure are critical. 

County GIS and planning staff, real estate agents, engineers,  utility representatives and representatives of the Betterment Organization of Mansfield (BOOM) and Growth Resources of Wellsboro (GROW) are working together for current and future business opportunities.

Call Center

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

Successful workforce development and retention require progressive steps. 

 

Business, community and education representatives; human resource staff and local and regional work force specialists are working collaboratively on strategic efforts. Efforts are concentrated to identify, measure and address staffing needs of our employers and job applicants.
