Tioga County will host a special celebration for area high school students on September 26th. This exciting event will feature hands-on activities and interactive experiences designed to help students explore nature-related opportunities within their own community.
Students will have the chance to connect with organizations dedicated to conservation, outdoor recreation, environmental education, and natural resource stewardship, including:

This event is a unique opportunity for students to learn about local environmental resources, discover potential career pathways, and engage with professionals who are working to protect and enhance the natural beauty of our region.
Event details
Friday, September 25th at the Patterson Trailhead Building, 32 Fellows Ave. Wellsboro, Pa. Each school is being asked to bring 10-15 students that are interested in conservation, ecology, and outdoor recreation.
The event is geared toward high school students; lower classmen population encouraged.
Tentative Schedule: 9:00–11:00 a.m. – Educational activities and informational booths 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. – Presentations by Cindy Adams Dunn, Secretary of DCNR; Dr. Nathan Reigner, Director of Outdoor Recreation; and Wilson Consulting, highlighting the significance of the Howeville Bridge and its role in the trail.
Students will need a packed lunch.
