Tioga County (LTC)
Program participants meet once a month over a nine-month period with sessions throughout Tioga County focused on practical experiences and leadership skill enhancement activities, site tours, group discussions, and peer-to-peer learning opportunities featuring the Amazing Leadership Journey, a Tioga County leadership building tournament.

& Leadership Assessment -
September 27, 2023
The Opening Session is for participants to become familiar with the program, each other, and what will be expected of them over the next nine months. There will be an overview of Tioga County, leadership styles and skills, and an opportunity for participants to conduct a self-assessment of their leadership skills.

& Natural Resources –
October 25, 2023
Participants will explore Tioga County’s resources related to agriculture, energy and environment. Participants will tour a local farm and learn about other highlights and challenges of our natural resources.

Non-Profits and Philanthropy – November 29, 2023
Nonprofit organizations are instrumental in changing lives and transforming communities. Participants will learn about non-profits in Tioga County. Non-profit leaders will share about the importance of effective leadership skills and the vital role that volunteers and board members fill for our area’s non-profits.
Participants will have the opportunity to work together to assist a non-profit with a community service project.

& More – December 20, 2023
Participants will explore the features of the arts, culture, recreation and other factors that contribute to a positive quality of life. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about current highlights in Tioga County and discuss opportunities for the future.

January 24, 2024
This session will introduce the organizations that meet many of our community’s needs, the key people and issues involved in providing services to residents, and the buildings, equipment and infrastructure that are critical for providing quality services. Participants will be able to tour key focal points of our community.

Government & Criminal Justice – February 28, 2024
Participants will gain an understanding of public policy, local and state government and the process of becoming an elected official. They will examine Tioga County’s law enforcement and judicial systems as well as learn what issues Tioga County faces. Tours of the Tioga County Courthouse and a correctional related facility should be expected.

Participants will gain a broad-based understanding of the educational delivery systems and work force development opportunities offered in Tioga County. Participants will explore the components of community and economic growth, meet organizations that contribute to this process, and focus on local businesses and their roles in the community. A tour of a Tioga County manufacturer will occur. Participants will discuss current issues affecting community and economic development in

Amazing Leadership Journey Finish & Graduation –
May 22, 2024
The sky is the limit. This session will conclude the Amazing Leadership Journey -Tioga County at the Grand Canyon Regional Airport. Participants will tour the airport, participate in the final leg of the team competitions, and participate in interactive exercises to review key leadership traits and skills. Discussion topics will include maximizing opportunities for future participants and for Tioga County.
Graduation: The session will feature a special graduation ceremony to recognize the participants.
